Here at JA we fundraise and friend-raise all year long but the last month has been quite a treat for the taste buds in terms of fundraising! Not only did the JA Associate Board pull off a fabulous 1st Annual Beer & Bacon Fest presented by Grayson Automotive, then our new friends at Carolina Ale House called us up and decided to donate 10% of their first weeks food sales! WOW! Two back to back TASTY ways to give back to Junior Achievement.
Beer & Bacon Fest is something that we are so excited to make an annual event – we look forward to growing and expanding as well as eating more bacon and drinking neat beers! Stay tuned for details in the coming months about plans for next year’s event because you don’t want to miss all the bacon-themed treats we had (I was skeptical at first but the Bacon Chocolate Chip cookies from Magpies were delicious)!
Carolina Ale House is another TASTY way to give back to Junior Achievement because in conjunction with their grand opening in Knoxville, the restaurant will donate 10% of first five days of food sales to Junior Achievement of East Tennessee. “It is through the support of companies like Carolina Ale House and entrepreneurs like the Moshakos family that give us the funding needed to sustain and grow our programmatic reach here in East Tennessee,” stated Callie Archer, VP of Development for JAET. The donation period will be August 4th – 8th.
Thank you to those who attended the Beer & Bacon Fest – be sure to tell you friends to be on the lookout and if you are looking to get involved with Junior Achievement then eating at Carolina Ale House this week is a great place to start! Thanks for all the community support that we have received during these delicious fundraisers.
