Hands-on, fun programs that inspire youth!
Junior Achievement’s programs begin in elementary school and continue through high school. Our programs help students see the connection between what they learn in school and the working world– enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.
Our curriculum, developed and tested by Junior Achievement USA, is packaged in complete, self-contained kits that include detailed lesson plans and supplemental materials for volunteers to effectively deliver lessons. These hands-on activities help young people understand the economics of life, bringing the real world to students and opening their minds to their potential.
You can give your time through one of Junior Achievement’s education programs. JA provides easy to follow curriculum for all grade levels and on-site or online training for volunteers.
Classroom Volunteer: Visit area classrooms to teach students about economics, life in the workforce and the importance of community involvement. Traditional, one-hour-per-week for 5-7 weeks as well as one day opportunities exist.
JA BizTown Capstone Volunteer: Spend a day with students as they participate in the JA BizTown program. You will help facilitate activities as students bring to life concepts studied in the classroom.
